The first promo video for the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy looks like a cautionary tale.
Now that Jax is leader of SAMCRO, he’s going to really need to watch his back and be careful of who he trusts. Otherwise, he might suffer the same fate as JT. The new power struggle between Gemma and Tara will likely continue through the fifth season, with Gemma putting him in the position of making him chose between the two repeatedly.
The video shows Jax riding in front, before swerving to avoid Gemma when she runs out in front of his bike. Tara is further away and behind Gemma. Jax ends up going over the side of a bridge, instead of hitting Gemma.
The dream-like video looks like both a reminder of the past and possible warning for the future.
