This was a solid episode and start to the season. I felt like it really got back to the basics of the show. They did a good job with that coming home and getting reacquainted feel.

Right away, there was a decent face-off between the new law enforcement and the outlaws returning. It didn’t take long for the debate over SAMCRO being a “gang” or “motorcycle club” to come up either.

I’m glad to see Opie (Ryan Hurst) happy and getting re-married. He’s a decent guy and deserves some happiness after everything he’s been through.

One thing I always thought was clever with Sons of Anarchy was that they gave you a certain amount of information and there was always more happening behind the scenes. This episode was no exception. It was great to watch them clean up their business dealings and not really know what they were planning.

It’ll be an interesting season with them picking up the pieces and trying to find their groove while the big boys converge on Charming, in an attempt to take down SAMCRO and all their illegal affiliates. Also, I wonder if this will be the season where Jax (Charlie Hunnam) tries and succeeds with breaking away from the club. Or if it really is ‘membership for life.’
