True Blood – Episode 4.10: Burning Down the House
On this episode of True Blood, a bloodbath ensues at the Tolerance Festival just as Bill (Stephen Moyer) anticipated when Marnie/Antonia (Fiona Shaw) sics the vampires under her control into the crowd and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) onto Bill.
Sookie (Anna Paquin) arrives as Eric descends on Bill. The two tussle and Sookie summons major fairy power to save Bill. It not only knocks Eric off him, but it also breaks the spell Marnie/Antonia has on Eric. Now what about Pam (Kristin Bauer)? Is she still rotting from the inside?
After Sookie breaks the spell, Marnie/Antonia pulls a disappearing act from the festival and heads back to the Moon Goddess Emporium. Antonia considers what she has done and leaves Marnie’s body. Marnie talks her back in.
Nan (Jessica Tuck) sees to it that the majority of the crowd is glamored and the mess cleaned up, while everyone else disperses.
Jason (Ryan Kwanten) feels guilty about sleeping with Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) on the one hand, but on the other he wants to do it again. Sure that Hoyt (Jim Parrack) will be able to figure it out the minute he sees him, he asks Jessica to glamor him so he will forget what happened. She is highly offended by his request.
When Terry (Todd Lowe) discovers Andy (Chris Bauer) has V in the house, he plans an intervention at “Fort Bellefleur.” It is a fort the two built when they were kids and used to spend a lot of time at. Also, when Terry came back from the military he hid out in the tree fort for quite some time. The two hash out a lot of issues going back to their childhood and the intervention seems to have a positive effect. Terry leaves Andy at the fort and tells him to walk home.
Tommy (Marshall Allman) refuses V to help him heal and dies on Sam’s (Sam Trammell) pool table. While Sam and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) try to give him comfort in his final moments, dirty Debbie (Brit Morgan) is up to her old tricks. She starts flirting with Marcus (Daniel Buran) when he stops by to talk to Alcide about what happened the night before. Debbie mentions how she wants babies and Alcide doesn’t. Marcus offers to help her take care of her situation. Okay, I know I’ve said Tommy is freaky before but the writers didn’t have to kill him off! At least he managed to redeem himself a little bit in the end. He died because he was sticking up for Sam.
Sookie, Jason, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) head to the Moon Goddess Emporium to try and rescue Tara (Rutina Wesley) and the other captives. Jesus decides he is the best one to go inside, since he had a previous relationship with Marnie. He is also under the impression that Marnie has been possessed, so he is going to try a similar tactic that he did when Lafayette was possessed by Mavis. After fighting his way through the protective spell that Marnie/Antonia cast around the shop, he sits down for a chat and quickly realizes that it isn’t a possession at all. In fact Marnie refers to it as a, “unity.” Sookie dials into Jesus’s frequency and learns what is really happening inside.
Tara and Holly (Lauren Bowles) find a spell and try to find a way out of Marnie/Antonia’s prison. Just as they manage to escape, Marnie/Antonia realizes what has happened and sucks them back in along with Lafayette and Sookie, who were running toward the two. Yay, points for Tara actually trying to find a way out of that situation and working with Holly on casting a spell.
Bill, Jessica, Eric, Pam and Nan spend the day shackled in silver. Bill decides he is finished listening to Nan, vows revenge and plans to fire-bomb the Moon Goddess Emporium come nightfall. Eric, Pam and Jessica happily agree to assist. Jessica just wants to get the opportunity to, “kill shit.” Snicker.
The last scene with Bill, Jessica, Eric and Pam getting out of the black van, clad in black leather, carrying a rocket-launcher and automatic weapons, marching toward battle was classic!http://pokupo.com/2011/09/01/true-blood-episode-4-10-burning-down-the-house/TVHBO,True Blood, vampires
